So for any of you who missed the auction in BC today it was an interesting and eye opening experience. If I had known before hand what was going to happen I would have loaded up my entire arcade, and everyone elses that I could convince... and made a beeline for the border
Slightly crowded but with only 80 or so items and a small space it wasn't bad. First lot to go was some parts and that quickly sold at $10… Things went downhill from there.
Triple Action Pinball $600 (fair shape)
Adams Family Pin (needing serious work including all flippers, playfield surface was discolored and crazed where magnet stuck on. $3100
Meteor Pin $700 (no wear but bad crazing)
Ms Pac (cabinet solid but fairly faded artwork, monitor needed a cap kit and other work) $1100
Mario Brothers (red cab, no side art, monitor needed work) $1200
Arkanoid (bad shape) $700
Weird redemption game called Goofy Hoops.. .This one is for Dave as he has one in his garage… Really nice cabinet on this one. Everything there…. But a crack in the DMD and the machine wouldn't turn on… I was hoping for a cheap sale as it was the only game that didn't power up…. $350…. Sheesh what were these people thinking.
I stopped writing prices after that. There were a few ok deals… remember the parts…… like one.
Sit down drivers were fetching $1000 - $1300 each.
Now remember all these prices are before the auction fees and tax.
So that $3100 adams Family…. After fees $4000… and I would guess it needs at least a grand of repair.
It was scary.
