This question has been on my mind because I know Raw Thrills used the Dell 780 and a few other models, but I wonder if they ever supported the 960 model, has anybody tried to get one to work?

Depending which games.

It wasn't the 780, that was Intel based. It was the 740 which was nVidia.

- Dell Optiplex 740
- Dell Optiplex 580
- Dell Optiplex 380
- Dell Optiplex 390
- Microtel w/ASRock N68C-GS FX AM3+ mother board

My bad, which one is the best model, preferably one that can easily replace an FNF Drift dedicated pc

I use the full tower Optiplex 740. The 740 has the onboard parallel port so you don't have to mess with the add in card (if you have a parallel dongle).
I even replaced the mini desktop versions for the tower and just had to move the wood a bit in the conversion machines. The full tower runs much cooler.

Would this also pass? I have an HDD and it has the parallel port, I assume all I would need is the graphics card?Screenshot 2025-08-14 151142.png

That model is on their compatible list.
I've removed the video card before and reinstalled the software and then it works without the video card.
You might need a newer version of the software to install fresh.

I've got Drift 3.04 on the way, I heard it is able to be installed on the dell models, I will give it a try

I know this is asking a lot but, will this graphics card work? I'm just trying to make sure so I don't end up wasting my time and moneyScreenshot 2025-08-14 152722.png

GFX - Nvidia 8400GS (256MB+) so you should be fine. With a small desktop like that, usually you need the half height (low profile) cards as the full size ones will not fit. Could also try to reinstall with no video card and use onboard.

Dedicated (parallel) uses latest version 3.04 04/30/2014, so that should be good too.

Thanks, just ordered the pc and the graphics card, the recovery disc(s) which I had ordered prior to the computer dying, should be arriving in about 2-3 days from now, and of course I still have the dongle from the dedicated drift. hopefully it all ends well

Worked almost instantly OOB
