Can you reclaim a flyback transformer from a TV chassis?
I've been doing a lot of tube swapping the past few weeks, and I've been pulling apart several 19" TV's. The flyback transformers on the chassis' for these TVs look very similar (if not exactly the same) as the type found on my arcade monitor chassis. My question is this: is it possible to reclaim these flybacks for spares? At $25-50 a pop, it'd be nice to have them if I knew they'd work. Are the part numbers important, or is it more important to verify the type of neckboard and TV they came from?
