It looks very much like a midway however the coin door and specifically the coin return button looks like a Taito. Or maybe its just generic. Any thoughts?

This isn't helpful, but I KNOW I've seen a cabinet like this before. Can't remember what it was.

The 1P and 2P buttons on the side, with the same sticker, too..

I had a stern cocktail just a few months ago. CP's were more shallow than what was pictured here and the door had 2 coin drops but only 1 return, and was almost as wide as the cocktail itself.

The 1P and 2P buttons being on the wrong sides of each other is driving me crazy. Make it stoooooppppppp! :(

Having said that, no idea whatsoever what that thing is...

The buttons were that way for many of the black and white games. In fact, the coin door and cab look very similar to the Spce Invaders flyer. What other black and white Midway games came in cocktail cabs?

Generic...

It's not a taito.. It's a generic or off brand cocktail.. I've got a stern cocktail right here and it's not that either.. Looks like an Op bought a JK kit, or needed a cocktail for a location and made it up out of another game.. Could be a generic space invaders cab..

lots.
coin door
speaker plates
start buttons
monitor is horizontal.
color of the sides

That's my point, non of that is structural.
All those parts are easily swapped.

Take those parts off, look at the cab itself, then tell me what you think it was.
Even the monitor can be rotated without too much trouble.

Chances are it's a generic, modeled after something else.

1:horizonal VS vertical monitors is structural. I don't think you could fit a 19" horizontal monitor in a midway vertical cocktail cabinet. It would have to be a wider cabinet like tapper or use a 13" monitor like omega race.

2:Size of the coin door is structural. You can't shrink cut wood. Even if you wanted to say it was orignally a pac, the coin door is installed too high.

3:Speaker and venting in the wrong place is structural... Not even close and should have 2 grills on that side. plus those areas for the grills are cut out not drilled through.

4:midway cabinets sit on a small black base. this cabinet looks like its sides extend all the way down. even the width of the black joining corners looks too narrow.
