So, ordering a standard K7000 cap kit will be fine? Same with the flyback? Are there not versions of the K7000 such as 74 and 7500 that I should know when ordering replacement parts?

The standard K7000 kit should be fine. This chassis already has a new flyback and cap kit, though I can't tell you how old those are...

I can't help but feel the flyback is crap, as it takes a while to warm up (the pic is black for almost 8 or 9 seconds before you see a picture) and fades away into a dot slowly. Also, the picture just looks bad. Washed out colors, and when I turn it up even a bit, the colors bleed out badly.

Well, I farted around with adjustments for quite some time, and got the picture looking nice. The flyback on this is TOUCHY. Just tapping the voltage knob makes the screen dark and light pretty noticeably. Not a big deal if it doesn't do it when left alone, I hope.

The only issue now is I have screen collapse (I guess that's what you call it) on the right side of the monitor. When you scroll the screen to the right using the horizontal position knob, you can see the screen just fold upon itself on the right side. There's a bright bar where the monitor just eats the picture.... so, you always have a sort of bright distortion on the right side. Is that collapse? It's not unlike having a bad B+ voltage, but instead of the top of the screen, it's the right side. :(

That sounds more like foldover to me. If the monitor is horizontally mounted then this is pretty unusual, if the monitor is mounted vertically then it could be caused by other things. I say pull the chassis and check for cold solder joints and if you don't find any install a cap kit so you have a fresh baseline.

BTW, I have experienced the pots on the flyback being really touchy on other chassis replacement flys (K4900 and U2000). If the problem persists replacing the fly may be necessary.
