My daughter wants to buy my Galaga from me but the only way she can haul it to lay it on it's back and slide it into her SUV. Will this damage it? Anyone know? Thanks

As long as everything is mounted securely inside, then you should be fine. If not, take out whatever is loose and reinstall it once it gets to it's new home.

Since the cabinets on a lot of Galaga's are made of Masonite and not plywood, be real careful when laying on its side. You don't want to take off a edge or a corner. Once you get to the final destination you are going to want to check out the interior of the cabinet before powering it up. The PCB is in the bottom of the cabinet and can sometimes slide out of the holder. Good luck with the move.

Yeah, that's fine. I've moved all my games on their backs in a minivan. Just, before you move it, check that everything is bolted in the way it's supposed to be (monitor, power supply, boardset, transformer, etc). If everything is secured properly, there will be no problems.

Also, when you get it where you're going, take the back off again and look to make sure everything is still where it's supposed to be, and that no junk has fallen onto the boards or power supply. Last thing you need is a stray quarter shorting out the fuse block!

No, you have to prop it up on the back left (left when you're facing the front of the machine) corner at ~45 degree angle. Not many know that, but it'll save you a lot of headache in the long run. ;)

I can't. i'm not coordinated enough to move arcade cabinets while I'm lying down. ;)

Every /cabinet I've moved (except my pac-cab) has been put on it's side or back. Make sure the cab and everything inside is secure. It's good to have some thing on hand to secure something.
