chassis?

If it has two transistors for the verticle output drive i would believe one is bad and maybe capacitors in that section.

Yeppers definitely bad caps, particularly one on the vertical section. As the scan falls below the center of the tube, a cap has to reverse the polarity of the vertical section to drive the dot to the bottom (in this case the right). Due to the cap being out of spec its scanning down quicker then it should, resulting in a scretched half.

Did a full cap kit on this one, didn't get any better. What was the other suggestion again, a transistor?

Anyone? I bought the repair kit from Bob, but I dont want to install a HOT and new flyback if it's a transistor. I could start testing them all but hoping someone could push me in the right area of the board to look.

Thanks

Haven't seen anywhere where you told us which chassis type this is. I'd look at the vertical transistor's/IC next...

Good point - I think it is a 25K7101 - but I dont know where the vertical IC section of the board is. My monitor repair has been cap kits up to this point.

THANKS!

I ordered a K7000 repair kit from Bob on my last order, and you were right, the transistor was the problem. Monitor looks great again!

Thanks a ton Mod and others!
