I have 2 Vs PCB's that have sound issues. They both show video and games can be played, there is just no sound. I have tested them with fully working chip sets, so I know its not any of those that are the problem. Can these be repaired, or should I just throw em out?

Cool. Which part of those PCBs is responsible for the sound?

The CPU(2a03), then it goes to some analog filters and stuff. Do both sides not have sound or a particular side? If it is a particular side, let me know which side it is and we can walk you through which components to do a visual on.

If it is not the CPU and socket, then it is probably either one opamp or a capacitor. The capacitors usually take a beating from the board being tossed around and you may just have a broken one.

Well, I only tested these in my UR I had so the right side has no sound on both. The CPUs were both fine though, cause I have used them with other chipsets on my RT.

Right Side? Is that the 6,8 position or the 1,2 position?

Sound comes out of pins 1 and 2. Do a visual on c37,c40,c36,346,c38 and 5N? I don't have a board on me, but I imagine they are all near 5N. You want to see if the capacitor legs might be broken even just a little.

Will do, thanks bro.
