can someone post a picture of a defender door for me?

I am looking for a reference photo of the back door wire diagram so I can make a replica for the new back door I will be cutting out of some spare wood. the dimensions would be nice as well. also a nice big copy of the actual diagram would be nice, I can do a clean up it does not need to be a perfect picture. Thanks for the help.

I'll take some dimensions for you and post them up. I just discovered that my converted Choplifter was originally a Defender cab. The back door is complete with backdoor sheets. There are three of them. If I can get them off without causing too much damage, I'll scan them at work and send them.

Here's a few pictures I took last weekend.

hey thanks it is a big big help, do you know what size the sheets are? I think I may be able to put one together from some of the service drawings I have.

Interboard Wiring 15 x 18
Power Wiring 13 x 10
Cabinet Wiring 9 x 6

The list above is also the way the were displayed on the back door (from top to bottom).

This is from my Defender cabinet (converted to Buster Bros) that has the newer black coin door. The back door sheet was long gone before I got it so I cannot help with that. Someone on here was collecting back door scans so you may want to search the forum and see if they already have it.

Interesting. My Defender back door has no vent holes but all the original back door sheets still attached. I guess there were multiple versions.

Since yours has the back door scans there is no doubt it is original. I know there are several variations on the Defenders that others have noted, for example the direction of the side art and the use of the silver (older) and black (newer) coin doors. I do not have any way of telling if my back door is original to the cabinet but the space between the two upper vents lines up exactly with where the monitor shelf is located. If mine is a replacement, at least it was well designed (even if it was just a strange coincidence?). It would be interesting to know if there are actually a few others like mine.

As for the back door scans here is the thread: http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=48930

It looks like only one back door scan (interboard wiring) has been submitted but it is not in pdf form yet - http://vectorlib2.free.fr/BackDoorSheet/ I am sure they (and many others) would appreciate if you emailed them your scans when you get them done.

thanks for the measurements I may skip the vents for now since I do not have to many tools available to me at the moment. would 1/2 inch thick plywood be the best thing to use?

Yes, half-inch is the right size. I took a picture of the backdoor with the sheets attached. Also a couple others of the coin door (old style) and the back of the cabinet with the door off.

My suspicions about the cabinet being a Williams cab started when I saw Williams tags on the monitor and power supply. Didn't think much of it then but when I looked at the door sheets I was pretty sure it was a Defender. I started looking around for pics and was convinced it was. And I couldn't be happier. I've wanted to do a Willaims multi for a while and this makes it that much easier. Let me know if I can be of more help.

I scanned the backdoor sheets. They are way too bog to attach. I'll find somewhere to post them and put up a link. Not tonight, I'm going to bed.

They're very nicely done and they're the first complete set I've been able to find on the web. Thanks to Ben for doing this.
