Can anyone identify this model and is it any good? reliable? I'm might be purchasing it. What would be an average price for this if it was working 100%? Thanks...

I know this is really far off of the date of this post, but I believe thats a NSM performer grand jukebox not sure if there is a difference between the hyper beam and performer grand but I would google it or look for it under Nsm Performer Grand

It's a great jukebox when it runs, but be warned. That box uses the ES-IV player. ES-4's can get to be notoriously unreliable as time goes on, and are rather tedious to repair. Also, the page system is a monster to fix when it breaks (which fortunately doesn't happen too often). Check the page system before you buy the box, run it ALL the way through both ways (disc 00 to 99 and all the way back). If it jams up, try and run it all the way back through the other way PAST where it jammed. If it runs ok one way, but not the other, you probably have a cracked or broken page. Relatively easy fix. If it jams both ways, it still could be a broken page, but could also be a timing issue i.e. expensive repair.

If you ever take the pages out of the title drum, make two separate piles, left and right sides, pull the pages ONE at a time, and place them face down on the appropriate pile. Install is the reverse, ONE at a time again.

The ES-IV player, as I said, usually runs fairly well. The most major problem I've had with these is the decoder boards, and the lasers. Fortunately, both are (I believe) still repairable/replaceable. The alignment of the unit can be a bear, but with some patience, you'll be ok.

Overall, it's a good box, just look out for those few things before you buy. Also, make sure you get a manual....test mode is ridiculous on these things. Without a manual, forget it.
