Ok thanks. I do have a collapased image, it's just a straight line now going through the middle horizontally. Wonder if this part could be the culprit. Is there replacement transformers available?I think from memory that it's close to the hot isn't it? If it is it's probably the horizontal Drive Transformer.
you could check to see if it's still good by measuring the primary windings and secondary windings and resistance mode on your meter it should be pretty close to a short
It's unlikely that the transformer is the problem. If it was, the cover would be burned off, and it would look like it was on fire (because it would be).Ok thanks. I already addressed how to diagnose the vertical collapse issue here: https://forums.arcade-museum.com/th...single-line-in-the-middle.552433/post-4977577I believe I have a k7000 monitor chassis and just saw this part on the board. Anyone know what it is and what it does and is it suppose to look like that. I have other K7000 boards and none of them have that yellow goo coming out of the top.
Thanks, I'm a novice, I like to learn. Saw something on this board that I wanted identified and looked abnormal compared to my other machines. Wondering if it could attribute to the issue I have while I'm waiting on parts to come in from your suggestion. I appreciate your help and yes I may ask questions and people are so helpful here and I like to absorb this knowledge. Monitors are something I know nothing about and hoping to learn a lot this summer. Also I know from working on pinball machines, issues can have multiple sources, I spent 2 months trying to fix a mech on my pinball machine when the culprit was the right flipper the whole time, so it's good to seek out all options.I already addressed how to diagnose the vertical collapse issue here: https://forums.arcade-museum.com/th...single-line-in-the-middle.552433/post-4977577
