I'm not having much luck in my thread here. My thought is to try replacing the chip I thought I possibly burnt up before anything else.

The game is DK3.
The label on the chip reads DKC1-V-2N
It's from row 2N on the 2nd board, the one without the dips. I believe it's the video board which gives me hope, as if this chip is bad it could very well be my fix.

What's my best and quickest bet for this chip? I'd like to get this rolling asap so I know how to proceed.

I knew about hobby roms I was just hoping there was someone in the US so it would get here quicker. I'll shot them an e-mail anyway and hope someone else can do it in the mean time.

It's really unfortunate when great things are in Canada. :(

Ah, never done business with them so I didn't realize they were in .ca, sorry about that. I know there was either another site doing them or someone on the forums, I just can't remember who at the moment as the last time I saw something about it was probably a year ago. Hopefully someone will jump in with a quicker solution, though depending on what's coming in, stuff can get into the states from canada pretty fast.

If Channelmanic (klov ID) has the ROM chip needed, he charges $3.99 per his site for programming.

I highly recommend Channelmanic for repairs and parts as I am sure most folks on here wouldn't hesitate to deal with him. As it is, I am going to order some more parts from him as I need an EPROM right now to repair a kit and he has it cheaper than anywhere else I can find.

Thanks for the pr0ps!

That is a 2732 EPROM, common part, and I have plenty in stock.

I also have the MAME file for the ROM you need.

No problem at all.. I need to order one of your 27C040-15 EPROMs to fix my secondary Super ABC kit that was missing that ROM. I dumped the one I had with my new Needhams PB-10 today. :D

I will be putting in an order once I crack open my Super Magicom (SNES Console Copier made for Super Famicon). I want to upgrade the RAM in that thing to play bigger game ROMS and need to see if you have the parts required.
