Can somebody ID this cabinet?

This is first cabinet I ever got. It has a Williams silhouette. Only opens from the front as shown. Monitor can be H or V. There are a few things that make me think homemade, but the serial number baffles me. No other markings besides the serials. Why would a homemade cab have a serial? It's laminated particle board. Thanks!

P.S. Ignore the janky credit button. It's temporary.

I was thinking namco system 2 like pacmania or dragon spirit but the shape is wrong.

I though maybe tuni game like dazzler, but it does not have a front access door.

then I thought early prize zone game, but all the pics i see are not shaped like that..

control panel and monitor mounting looks a little taito like like a double dragon or superman.. but those dont have front access.

I think that rounded grab hole on the back of the cabinet might have meaning. I think some generic cabinet makers did that.

Generic cab maker seems about right. There are some fit and finish issues that would back up that argument. There is another round grab hole towards the bottom of the rear panel as well.

It'll be at CAX this weekend if you want a closer look!

I am sure someone will chime in..

I am just too busy this year. I am only taking 4 games this year. The last time I took so few was 1st year of cax. I think I only took 4. I will probably only be there a few hours on saturday. I might go to watch the sinistar panel. I would have gone to get jack haeger to sign the development team shirt I have, but he is only going to be there by remote.

I swore either you or someone else had posted one of these before. Just tried to find that older thread and can't find it.

My take: this was some local distributors custom cabinet for his sales or operation.

I may have but I couldn't find it either. It's possible I shared it in another thread regarding a Dynamo manual I had. You were super helpful with that.

That would also explain the "serial", it could be an asset ID etc.

This is my first time bringing games. I'm only bringing 2 and it's been super stressful. I was supposed to bring Dyger but it crapped out on Tuesday 😒

I saw your cab, and it does look weird in person. is it on rollers? if its on rollers maybe that would explain why the panel looks high, and maybe thats why it looked a touch narrow.

yeah, it can be an effort to get to the show. does not matter if its 10 miles or 300 miles. its nearly the same effort.. I was hoping it would be a simple fix to get solar quest working again and it was a mess!! they finally got it to play with no audio. Good enough for now. will get it fixed proper for next year..

It is not on casters. Plain old leg levelers.

I did get crazy taxi there and those savages did a number on it. Going in early to try to get it going. People are way to hard on that game

if it was abuse, thats not cool. but one thing that can be an issue is the power. sometimes weird things happen with that many games plugged in. monitors look brighter and when I would take my carnevil, the game would reset.

@coleco1981 had one of these or at least snapped photos of one a few years back.

I wish that was the answer, but alas, it's the seat adjuster, steering wheel, and gas pedal. All from just being too hard on the game. All 3 were rebuilt in the last few months

This looks like it to me, save for the rattle can black paint. I wonder if @coleco1981 ended up picking that cab up. Hopefully he chimes in

Didn't end up picking this one up. I was pretty obsessed for awhile with finding rare games that were converted. I was never able to stump DonPanetta no matter how hard I've tried.
