Can I use any type of silicone spray on a shuffle bowler?

I ordered some SunGlo cleaner and alley powder/wax to try out on a shuffle bowler. I read the directions and it says to apply a coat of SunGlo silicone spray before the powder. I wish I had known that when I ordered it! I don't want to blow another $10 shipping for this 12oz can, so is any silicone spray acceptable?

I have a new can of Liquid Wrench I was hoping I could use instead.

i own 2 shuffleboards. if your lanes are good and clean i wouldn't worry about the spray. try cleaning with novus 2 i used this on my pins and then on the shuffle bowler it gets the lanes very clean and dosn't damage the formica. try a light coat of carwax on the lane for a base sounds silly but it works i wouldnt use anything industrial on any game

In the past I have used Wlidcat pinball playfield wax first, then put down the Sun Glo powdered wax on top of that. Works great.

Only thing I can comment on is the Liquid Wrench...

Do not use it in place of a Silicone spray, they are two different products/results.
