My Sharp Image IS-325 has a bad flyback, but I have an extra K7000 laying around. Can I use the K7000 with the monitor? Both chassis are for 25" monitors.
If the tubes are compatible then you can swap the chassis/yoke combo to the new tube. This will require a bit of work to reconverge the picture but the convergence procedure is covered in the K7000 manual.
The neckboard pins and the yoke's have to match. Can you take resistance readings across the yoke you currently have installed and post them here? It is possible that they are close enough to the K7000 to work.
I'm really not sure how to take resistance readings across the yoke. my experience with monitors goes as far as dishcharging a monitor and installing a cap kit, I don't know much else besides that.
I figured it was easier than this to just swap out a chassis. I thought maybe aslong as the neckboard pins match the yoke of the monitor it would be a match for swapping.
