Can I test Ms Pacman upright PCBs with Space Invaders Deluxe cocktail?

Hi all. I'm a pinball tech, but I'd really love to learn how to do arcade boards too. We've got a TON of old boards lying around our shop, and we need some working Ms. Pacmans for X-mas. Problem is, sending them away to be repaired will take 4-8 weeks. I thought I'd try and come to the rescue.

My boss does not want me to "ruin" our currently working Space Invaders Deluxe or Centipede uprights, and will not allow me to use them for testing. I personally own a (working) Space Invaders Deluxe cocktail. Can I take the transformer from my cocktail and use it in an upright Ms. Pacman? We've got plenty of empty cabinets for me to put it in, and then I have a place to start. I know both transformers have adjustments on them, and they're both Midway.

No. Hell no. SI boards run off a regulator board that supplies DC to the logic board. Pac boards require AC straight off a transformer and the AC is rectified/filtered/regulated right on the logic board. A Galaxian can be used to test a pac board IIRC, but you won't be able to play it.

Plus, Si uses a b/w monitor with composite video input. Pac boards (and just about every other game board that is color) *need* a RGB monitor to display an image.
