I have a couple power blocks and Im curious if it would damage them to plug them in without having anything connected to it, just to check the output on the iso trans and the power supply?

Thanks, I didnt see any reason why I couldnt, but remembered seeing a post last week someone said not to turn one on without a load, and I couldnt figure out the reason.
Im checking my Zaxxon and I have no current from the iso Trans to the monitor, and on the power supply the only currents out are the +/-5s, and Im getting +4.2 and -0.6, so Im going to tinker with it some more and see if I can figure out whats wrong there. I figure if I cant Id switch blocks if one of my other ones are working

from what i understand, switching power supplies can be damaged by being run without a load. old-school non-switchers, however, use different technology and should be fine.
