I have a monitor series.., its capped. From reading, it seems I need to replace the flyback, and see where it goes. My questions is can I salvage a flyback from any monitor or TV, and use it in mines?
Why don't you try and google the answer instead of wasting everyones time?

I have a Chevrolet Camaro, tuned up, but still goes slow. From reading, it seems I need to replace the engine, and see where it goes. My questions is can I salvage an engine from any car or truck, and use it in mines?

lol. If it still good, I want to do it becasue TVs are chep, and I have a couple laying around. And if the flyback can be salvage too to mines question.

The short answer is "NO!"

Don't even think about it. Unless that flyback had the exact same numbers on it or it crosses to it, it won't work and it could make things a whole lot worse.

k4900 flyback is a pretty hardy and unless you have other symtoms it should be fine. Robotron is right rejuve and see what it looks like.

I didn't.. :)

I understood your point eariler.

However....
You can stuff any engine to any car with the right adapter plate to the transmission, and the knowhow to mod the engine bay to fit the engine. For example, stuffing corvette V8 into Mazda RX7. Another good example is stuffing a Mustang V8 into small Bristish cars, Shelby AC Cobra. Stuffing a 5.0 HO mustang engine into a Mazda Miata.

Although all of that is true... and the long answer to your question is yes, the short answer is no.

Any flyback COULD be used in any monitor. It may take a team of NASA scientists 20 years and billions of taxpayer dollars to make it happen but it could be done. Since you don't have billions of dollars (or aren't willing to spend them), a team of scientists, and aren't willing to wait 20 years for a solution, the answer is "no".

I'm gonna go the short route.......if you have to ask the question.....the answer is....no.
