Can I plug a JAMMA board into a MVS without an adapter

As far as I can tell the differences are the lack of -5v and the audio.

If I have a game that doesn't need -5v can I just plug it in? I don't want to rewire the cabinet as this is primarily used as a MVS. I would just like to be able to plug some JAMMA boards in it too. :D

I have a two slot neo geo upright , I'm unsure of what harness it has but I plugged my tetris pcb in it and it worked fine

My Neo Geo cabinet houses a 1 slot MV1F and I swap in Jamma boards all the time. I believe the multislots are different than Jamma.

Single slot boards are JAMMA, anything else is a modification of JAMMA as you mentioned.

If necessary for the JAMMA board, you'll need to wire in -5V. With no wiring mods, you definitely won't get sound, and you may damage the audio amplifier on whatever board you install. All you need to do, however, is wire the grounds together to a common ground and wire the speakers in series between pins L and 10 (noting correct poliarity). If you plan on swapping boards in and out, you can use quick-disconnect terminals to make this quicker.
