Can I call Berzerk a grail?

Like others have said, "grail" is in the eye of the beholder. Berzerk has 100X more sentimental value to me personally than any other game. It's the game I played the most as a kid, and the first game I sought out when I got into the hobby. I will never sell mine. It's my grail.

Kangaroo is a mini grail for me, that someone commented on. Cuz of art for my atari lineup. the game is pretty lame...ha ha.

my grail is tattoo assassins. good luck with that one.

Anyone can call anything whatever they want of course, but doesn't it make sense for us all to have a similar definition for stuff? Don't we all want to agree somewhat on what 'mint' means?
I've been collecting for close to 10 years now and 'grails' always referred to the super rare super popular and valuable stuff. Things that you really have to look for and wont' come cheap unless you luck out at a garage sale. Just that common game that I just happen to like and want, well, that's just a want list game. Maybe I want a minty pac man really bad, but i wouldn't give it 'grail' status because that's already kinda a well known and accepted term. Why not come up with a different word to say the same thing?
The term of "grail" applies to something that the average person would generally find to take an extended or difficult time to acquire, which is why the term has been attributed to things that are expensive and rare.

But, technically, if it took John Doe 5 years to save up money to buy his Street Fighter 2 at an auction, he could call it his grail.

So the answer to "Can I call Berzerk a grail?" is: It doesn't really fit with the generalized term the community is familiar with, but it can certainly be to just you.

This is the same response I'd have given for a "Is Rosanne Barr a hottie?" post.
