Looks like a Mortal Kombat 2 cab to me. The card reader goes with the blitz I think and if you remove the control panel it should fit through a standard door

Looks like a dedicated Blitz with the sideart removed to me. It's definately not a MK2. It's also not a MK1, i'm sure somebody could chime in here with the answer but I'm betting either a Blitz, or the generic Midway conversion cabinet that had that pink stripe on the bottom, so they painted it black to cover up the pink stripe.

it could possibly be a dedicated cab with the side art removed or painted over and the t-molding switched out... Blitz '99 came with the N64 card reader so you could save your special stats and plays at home then use them in the arcade.

WAIT, I take that back, it could very well be a mk2 because it has the double tmolding below the control panel.

Yes thats the only reason I though it was and im not sure any other games have that double tmolding, to be sure sure he could open the cab and there should still be a little tab stapled to the inside and it should say what game it was

A little paint thinner would tell you for sure (or grafiti remover)

It is likely a MK3 or 4 because MKII didnt have red in the sideart as seen where the black is scratched off (3rd pic).

I also thought KI1 or KI2 but the color spot doesnt match those either.

Probably a NBA Hangtime or Jam. The slant near the monitor looks more like a Jam than a MK.

its actually a black overlay he hasnt peeled it off all the way but did some and what he saw didnt look like the pic he saw on the net.

what does the cabinet sticker say on the outside? Open the cabinet and see if its still has its inner sticker. Most ops are too lazy to change.

as for fitting through the door, you can unbolt the the control panel and remove it. the cabinet will then be 28" or less and will fit through just about any door.

A lot of the time you can tell what is under the black paint if it is in the right light... if not grab some citrus strip and do a section around the top side...

yea its locked and no keys and i think he's to lazy to drill'em i'll go take a good look at the sticker on the back tommorow im going back to the storage anyways to work on my stun runner.
