I have attached a couple of images. Not sure how they will look. The first pic reads 'Switching Power Supply Model No. 8515XT3'. Fairly generic. No company/brand that I saw.

I would like to keep this form factor PS so I don't have to mod the back of the machine (2nd pic). Previous owner hacked in a PS inside through the visible (in pics) PS. That havked in PS has fallen below 5v so got to replace it. I would like to do it right and not hack in another.

usually they have an adjustment knob to change the 5v

camera might have a closeup button for pictures needing a zoom
on mine the button is of a flower for closeups

The old one (pictured) does have a 5V adjust knob. The hacked in one does not have any adjustment.
The hacked in PS is a Sun Pro KY-350ATX PC supply - no adjustments on it.

My guess is the old supply was left in place to function as a switch for the 120V input and to block the hole in the back of the cabinet. The hacked in PS is just 'floating' inside the cabinet. Not a good way to replace a PS but this was done by an arcade operator. :)

I took the pics with my phone. When uploaded to forum the pics were shrunk.

The main thing I am after is the same form factor PS as in the pictures.

If the game cabinet has a power switch and it is NOT mounted on the power supply, then this power supply would be the one to use:

That one would fit in the cut out shown on the second picture BUT the power switch for the cabinet is the one in the original PS. There is currently no separate switch. I may have to add one. I like that PS in the link. Thanks for posting it.

I see this one that had a switch built-in. That will work. Thanks again. I should have gone to the Happ site - Doh!

This one does have a power switch built into the side of the power supply:

It should work fine for you.

Another question:

Is the switch on the back of the PS by the power cord input and air circulation grill or on a side that is inside the cabinet? From the picture I can't tell what the black object on the far left back of the PS is actually - I hope it is the power switch and not the AC selector but can't tell for sure. I have not used one of these PS's before. Looks like there is a 5-volt adjustment on the left side of the PS and maybe the AC input selector(where I would expect it)?

Generally the "arcade use" power supply like this will have the built-in power switch on the side of the power supply enclosure. These power supplies are intended to mount near the side of the cabinet and on-off pushbutton switch is accessed through a hole in the side of the cabinet.

Ah. Ok. That makes sense. Think I will wire in a switch and buy the other PS you mentioned first. Thanks for the help. I appreciate it.
