I bought a known working boardset from a member and I am still having issues. The game seems to continuously boot and reset over, and over. What could be causing this?? I posted a video of it's behavior below. I really, really need this thing running tommorow hopefully someone has seen this before
That really looks like a stuck slam switch on the coin door. You can check that possibility just by disconnecting the connector of the coin door and seeing if it boots.
The second guess is the edge connector... like modessitt said!
I'm having the exact same issue. Is there a generic fuse holder I can replace it with at the electronics store? Or is there a specific one I need to get?
the top one is what i use. it comes in strips of 10 or whatever and you can easily cut off however many you need. unfortunately they are out of stock but at least that gives you a headstart
If the board worked before it was transported to u, then replace it's a connection issue. The sockets are crap! Replace the CPU socket first. I had a reset issue that was fixed with a socket swap.
Found the issue, its the edge connector, odd thing is the old board now has issues and it di not before I swapped all new ROMS into it. I now have one good board, one bad board, and a bad edge connector. If you manipulate the edge connector around a little the new board works, the old one will not. The video I posted shows what the game was doing with the old board installed.
