First off my machine will not reset to start a new game. My game over relay coil and 1st ball relay coils were both completely burnt out so I replaced them. These two coils and the hold relay coil all seem to be stuck in an energised state when the machine is turned on. The backbox is lit and the playfield remains unlit as it is supposed to before coining up a game, but the playfields two ball kickers and hole kickers continue to function. What does this sound like to anyone?

Start reading: http://www.pinrepair.com/em/index.htm

But the interesting thing about EM repair is, oftentimes, you can 'see' what's wrong: detached wires, broken switches, improperly gapped switches, etc.

Good luck!

I have read it numerous times over the past 3 months. It has yet to help with my issues that I have had with any of my pins

A more detailed description of what DOES happen is helpful.

Does your score motor keep going? Does it fire up, reels at/goto zero and stops only to refuse to start a new game?

Does it even get that far? If not, start checking from the start coil out. You can help yourself when it comes to trying to find problems, by manually activating a relay/coil. Just be sure to shut things off if a coil locks on, and try again at finding the problem before you roast a fuse, or worse a coil.

Look at the print and see what contacts pull in those two relays and see why they are stuck. Find what contacts are keeping the score motor running, and see why they are.
Alot of things need to be satisfied for the game to sit in the game over/ready mode. Good luck!!

The score motor or reels do not move at all since I cannot get a game to coin up through the mechs or by pressing start, even though the game is set for free play. The backboard lights and thats it,nothing else works besides those three relays which are locked/energized. When I manually push on the white plastic housing the leafs on the relays I can get some of them to work, some do not. For example pushing one yesterday I got the play field to light up,then I switched it back off. If you need more than that I can post up a detailed video of what it does when powered on.

Ok so fooling with the machine some more earlier I found that I can start and play the game by manually pushing down one of the relays in the bottom of the cabinet. At that point the game plays fine but I still cannot get the game to coin up any other way.

Do you have credits on the game? If it's wired for freeplay make sure one of the wires haven't come loose. Sometimes people just adjust the switch on the credit wheel so that it's always making contact and it will sometimes work free. Manually add some credits and see if it works.

Where is the credit wheel? I don't see it in my manual.

Under the score reels, bottom right corner of the backglass. Add some credits manually if you have a 0 showing from the front.

Check your steppers, set them to the home position as well. They're probably gummed up and need cleaned.
