Can anyone help me figure out this machine, with pictures

Hello
I just purchased the following machine. Can't find any information on it, I have pictures of the cabinet. Pictures might be large, I have no idea on how to make then smaller. The game is called Outrider, any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hello
Thanks for the update, but I was checking out some Defender games (cabinets) and I don't think they are the same.
I might be wrong, but the pictures on this site don't match the cabinet.

It's definitely a Defender cab:

It does look very much like a Defender cabinet, except for the fact that the monitor is vertical. I saw a cabinet like that a few years ago and it had a vertical shelf mount monitor - it had a Sky Soldiers kit installed though. Your cabinet almost looks as if it has a metal control panel too - Defender originally had a wood one and was not mounted on the front but only used clamps underneath. Coin door is wrong too but it could be a replacement. I sort of agree with you, it may not be an actual Defender cabinet (but the design was definitely based on Defender).

I have never heard of Outrider nor can seem to find anything either. Is there a manufacturers name anywhere? Since there is not one on the marquee or sideart that I can see my first thought would be it is likely a bootleg game. Does it work and can you post a screen shot of the gameplay or PCBs? It might help in identifying it.

Hacked up Defender. You can even see by the control panel how much the edges stick up because of the thin metal panel instead of Defenders wooden/plexi original.
Would be interesting to find out about the game itself!

Hello again
I just picked up the machine on Monday, I haven't had a chance to do anything with it yet, it was going to be the rainy day project, so I haven't even looked inside of it yet, the guy I got it from knew nothing about the machine, his description was exactly as follows: It is a cool old school spaceship shooter game. He didn't have the keys for the back and the power cord end wasn't even there, the cord was there. I will see if I can get into the machine this weekend and check out the panel, I also want to get a end of the wire, and plug it in and hopefully it starts up, and runs, but I am doubtful. If anyone else has any ideas, please post your suggestions or ideas, and any other pictures would be greatly appreciated. I will keep all posted with my findings once I get into the machine.

anything ever come of this Outrider? I just got a marquee from one and I'm looking for more info

Interesting, 1st I thought this was just someone's custom arcade job.
But I did run across an old post of someone selling a marquee.

It might be an early kit of a game.

Ah, so this is what an Outrider cabinet looks like. Nice. Strange that they chose Defender's cabinet style for their cabinet. Is it complete?

11 year Necro Bump!

If that isn't a NecroBump of the month, I don't know what is.
