I have a 19K7901 that looks like someone placed it face down on a rough surface, and has some scratches right in the sweet spot. Anyone ever have any luck buffing out scratches? If so, share your methods please.

TIA

I have the same deal with my 4600 in my Robotron. You can probably take the monitor down to a glass shop, and they can buff it out for you and have it looking close to new... but there is supposed to be a coating on the tube that cuts down on the glare... you'll lose that. BUT if it's running behind smoked bezel, you'll probably never really notice that it's gone.

That's if they'll mess with it, I'd imagine they'd be paranoid about messing with monitors since they're more or less pressure bombs. Granted the front of the tube is VERY thick glass, but depending on who you get you might have a hard time convincing them of that.
