Okay, I'm not going to keep looking for one of these..I'd rather try and fabricate my own..not quite sure how that will work out, but I've got to start SOMEWHERE...

I need pictures, measurements, etc of the topper, specifically the tube portion, and brackets/mounting hardware would be great. Help a guy out here...this thing seems to be a real PITA to find a replacement for, and it appears to be such a simple thing.. should be able to figure out a way to make one..

I was actully thinking about your missing topper and wondering how to manufacture one. I think that as long as you get the right curvature you can use a piece of bent sheet metal or flashing, place a sheet of lexan or plexi over it and slowly heat it with a heat gun until it conforms to the same curvature, let it cool then paint. It wouldn't be as nice as the original but it would look better than not having one.

That reminds me of the fabrication shown in some video. maybe it's the shaggy pinball repair videos? putting ?lexan? sheets in the oven and letting it bend itself around the mold.

Vaccum forming in home environment pretty much works that way. I figured id use a heat gun, just a matter of what size it is and how it mounts.

Attached are a few pics of my topper. It's 4 inches front to back, and 2 and 7/8 inches high.

I still haven't gotten around to making one.. I'd be interested, and I'm sure there's other people that would be as well.

I'm sure if we get enough people we can get a batch made like mine..

I'll try and post this over to RGP as well. Find out how many you need for it to be worth his time, and how much he wants for them. I might be willing to buy an extra or two and hold on to them to sell if it's just a matter of doing a few of them.

I have the red plastic base lying around if you're interested. It's not the tube - just the base that covers the top of the back box. MMAO if anyone wants it.

I've got the base and the flasher strings attached where they should be. I'm just missing the tube.

I will post some detailed pictures of mine so everyone can get a good look at it... it is not rounded like the original.. its got a nice bends on it to make apear rounded... but it looks sharp. I'll get that done this week when I get some free time.
