Anyone know where a Sinistar cockpit can be found so that I can get a couple pictures of the guts for one ? (well, have someone send me pics that is)

Been working on replacing the second sound board and power supply section in one that was completely removed. Just need to verify a few things. The manual is kinda vague when it comes to the cockpit version. The double sound board wiring is what's in question here, power supply wise and ROM board wise.

Yeah, and it also looks like the rear sound board information was something added in later printings or something as it's really incomplete if you trace it out. Which pins does the rear board actually feed from on the power supply. All that are marked are accounted for. Ground I could see coming off pin 11 maybe. That's why I'm assuming they may have piggy backed each pin for the second board.
(notice that portion is darker than the rest of the print)
I don't have an actual power supply handy, but I'll dig one out to look into it further.

Also looking to see how they tapped two sound boards off one ROM board connection.
Same issue really.... one connector.....two boards. Were they also just piggy backed on each required pin ?

Don't get me wrong there's a couple different ways I could think of doing this as I have to make a new harness for it anyways. But I'd like to know how it was originally.

I hate it when people just rip stuff out and hack it up.
(and the pieces are no longer around to boot)

Shoot me some pics of what you have left in there for wiring. I am pretty sure that I know how it was wired originally. I need to see pics of the board locations too.

Hmmmm...... that's gonna be a little difficult, the machine is two hours away from me.
But will see what I can get from the fellas down that way.

It's not like me to re-hash a year and a half old thread, but - since I just got this Sinistar cockpit and I had taken pictures, I thought that I'd share. So the pics are now here for future reference.

You're right, the connectors are "thru" rather than piggyback as you'll see in the pics...

I personally have no problem re-hashing old threads when the information is relevant.
Thanks for the info and pics.... I like clear details like that being included in the thread.
