IF we are deemed the winner, the trip will likely be next Spring Break. You can't take it earlier than November since the ship is brand new and booked through then. If you guys can make it, I'll make sure to buy luggage big enough to smuggle you all on.
You will definitely have to let us know. Next November, the Magic will start sailing from Galveston, which is just down the road (compared to Miami) from all the Texas and Lousiana KLOVers.
I put some votes in from some of my real email addresses and I have been getting plenty of Carnival spam. Which is not a big deal, but they need to run a dedup on their data base since I am getting 4 or 5 of each email
.Several places on the Carnival site (if you can get off the Magic home page) list the day of the announcement as April 26 (today) so stand by.

It's weird, cause I had the screen still open from yesterday, and it said Winner announced in 1 day. It changed to 3 days when I refreshed the page, so for some reason they restarted the counter...I looked at it says in 3 days from today.
I used a few of my real email addresses too, but have yet to get any spam

Hey guys. Carnival hasn't handled this well from the start. We saw the change from one day to three days last night. We're dying to know and they hadn't gotten back to us yet. Hadn't. This afternoon my wife got an email from Carnival saying that we won! Nice work, guys. Every vote was important and you guys really helped us get over the top. We're excited that this fun nightmare is over and that we have a cruise to show for it. Sorry about the Carnival spam in your emails, I haven't gotten anything yet so they must still be working their way through them. Thanks again for the help and support!

I know the Magic goes to the Caribbean, I'm just not sure where yet. I don't think I even care, as long as there is sun, food, sun, and food. The rules state that we have to wait until after November to take the cruise but we're hoping that they run their rules the same way they run their contests, fast and loose. If so, maybe we can squeeze it into this summer. The ship is still in Italy getting it's final touches, it's that new. Their first cruises are next month.
