OK i just got my newest baby California speed. I stole it for only $300.00 and its in near mint condition. It works perfect except for two issues....one the steering is loose. It still jerks back and forth like it should but is jut loose. Can it be tightened? Also every now and then it switched to the calibration screen or just turns blue for no reason....why would it do that? Im a newbie but GOD is this hobbie additctive. Any help would be appreciated. Also does anyone sell parts for the game. My radio button is cracked and id like to replace it with a new one....thanks all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok stupid question time how do i check and how do i raise it if it is too low. Please help this newbie! Im trying my hardest to learn so i dont have to have others work on my games. thanks

Bad steering potentiometer. If it jumps around in the test mode or has dead spots, that is what it is.

dont know what i did but i took it back to the pawn store i bought it at and the guys like i dont want it back you can have it for $100.00 to just keep it so of course i said yes and ever since i moved it its worked perfect....maybe something was loose and it jarred its self back into place....i dont have the key to the back and havent drilled the lock yet to make sure its all tight but its been on for 2 days wiothout a hitch....wish me luck!!

parts Available

All the parts for that are still easy to get.
Several different problems with Cali Speeds Ive seen
Power supplies not putting out quality voltage. Measure the 5v and 12v and make sure they stay consistant 5V should be 5.1 or 5.2

If the game has steering issues a pot is usually the problem. Its a little round piece that kind of looks like a volume knob. It has three wires on in and changes very easy. 5kohm pot is what is takes.

Rebooting- First check all the voltages. If you are confidnet they are stable buy a new hard drive on ebay for $25
