I have a California Speed that was converted to Cruis'n Exotica and I want to convert it back. I got a board and hard drive but I was matching everything up and can't figure out where some things plug in. Also I remember someone saying some wires have to be swapped around so I need some help with connectors and wiring to get it right. I don't want to fry that new board I just got because I didn't swap something back.

Take pics of what you have and where they go..such as main board, sound, driver board and i can try to help. I do remember that the driver boards should be close. I think the difference was the socketed chip on it. Not sure if makes a difference what chip was on it. Second difference was wiring on the shifter is different but thats a fix later once its up and running.

Thanks, I'll grab a couple pics when I get home. The main reason I want to swap back is because the force feedback and manual trans mode won't work on the Cruis'n Exotica. I checked and the manual mode is on in the settings but it won't let me choose it. The force feedback is just dead but when you shut the game off the steering moves all the way to the right on its own so I know the motor is working. Any chance of helping me fix those issues? If I can then I'd leave it converted, I just didn't like the fact it didn't play with those options.

Well the shifter is wired backwards in cali speed. So that would need to be rewired if you wanted to fix the exotica

Remove the shifter. Youll need a security tamper torx bit to do so. Looking at the back of it. The shifter for cali is wired so that all circuits are closed. This is the opposite for cruisn series. Youll have remove one wire connector on each switch...4 in total and move the connector to the opened one on the switch. Do it to a 4 switchez. This should now make them open except for the one that is selected. Best bet to figure it out is to boot the game and goin into switch diagnostics. You can check the switches there as you switch them to the correct way. These racing games if the shifter is wired incorrect it will default to auto just prior to race start. Let me know if you have any questions

Awesome! That's easy enough to do so I'll do that tomorrow. Any idea on the force feedback not working? Again, when I shut off the game the wheel turns all the way to the right just like my Rush 2049 does so I know the motor is working. Those are the two things that were bothering me about the conversion, if I can get it working right I'll leave it for sure. Thanks again for all your help!
