Hi everyone. I am not too much of a poster on the forums, but I just want to let everyone know that I have organized an event for us to bring a machine or 2 or 3 or 4?!!? lol...pinballs AND arcades for all of us to play.

I am organizing this so all of us can get out of the basement and have a day of fun and meet other arcaders and pinheads!

October 1st, Inglewood community hall, please email me and let me know if you can bring a pinball or an arcade machine! There is LOTS of room in this place.
I already have commitments from some local people in Calgary here with some 'TOP' machines:
pinballs- Twilight Zone, Adams Family, Wlliams Indiana Jones......
arcades- Pac-man, (dedicated) Nintendo Donkey Kong cabinet.........

[email protected]

I will start up a webpage for this event in a couple of weeks.

,JB

Cool. I hope more people get involved. I've been hoping to make something like this happen in Edmonton. After attending the Seattle show I think the first step is to establish a local collecting group. It takes a bunch of dedicated people to pull off an arcade show.

I might be able to bring a couple of games. Is it going to be one day only?

EDIT:
Have you posted this on RGP and MAACA? If not, you should.

Looking forward to this Jay and thanks for taking the initiative. I am starting to reach out to some of the newer member of our community to see if they want to participate as well. Let me know when you need a hand with the webpage and I can try and help out.

Ya thanks Lindsey, I will keep that in mind, and let you know sooner than later.
Unfortunately only 1 day. (baby steps! )
I was in Seattle too, they put on quite the show! Didn't get to see you or your 'lecture'. How did that go?

I will post up on MAACA and RPG as well, but if you could spread the word that would be great! Maybe it will take off faster than a riot in Vancouver!!! (cheesy joke, sorry) LOL....

Sure. Just let me know what you guys want to do.

Logistically that's going to be pretty difficult. Moving the games in and out in one day is going to be really problematic and could reduce participation. It may seem like less work to do it in one day but it's really the same work all packed into one day. Anyway... just my opinions. It's your show :)

They definitely do! It was a huge team effort. I also got to spend some time with people later in the week. It was nice to meet so many pinheads.

It was great. There were not a lot of people with it being on Sunday afternoon but it was recorded so people who want to see it will get to see it soon. It also spawned a couple of opportunities for me which I'm looking forward to pursuing.

I will tell the collectors I know. Once you have a site up and some more details I'm sure people will start to commit games.

Hi Jay, I'll definitely be bringing a few friends out that day can also help spread the word. Do you think some posters on 17th Ave would help out? Wish I could help with the website stuff but that's out of my wheelhouse.

Will do some work to my Addams Family this summer to get in in shape.

Have also talked to Gobsgraham in the past, gave me some good advice on a few video games I was working on. Great to hear you're also in.
