I've found an old stripped down cab in my area that someone turned into a Simpsons.

The cab style matches this style of Defender cab (See Attachment):

I'm wondering if any other Williams games had this cabinet style. I'm thinking about restoring it, but Defender isn't high up on my list of games to own (sorry Defender fans).

Anyone got any advice here?

+1. Very identifiable cab. Cool looking cab, to boot.

Just leave it a Simpsons. ;)

I was never a big Defender fan either (translation - I thought it was cool as hell, but I sucked at it). However, I got a Relief Pitcher that once I realized was in a converted Defender cab, I decided to restore it as a Defender, but with a Multi-Williams pcb, cuz I love some of the other Williams games (esp Joust). It is third in my project queue at the moment...

Thanks, guys.

..yeah they've taken everything out that made it Simpsons. It's really just the cab now.. painted black, with 2 hilarious "wings" they've attached to the side for the extra players. It looks like those are just attached with a drywall screw or something..

The original coin door is on there so I guess that's something.

Mupes, I'm thinking about going that route as well. Do you have a thread discussing the restoration, or are you even that far along with it yet?
