I am looking for one of those metal plates that mounts on the cabinet that includes the power cable from the outlet into the cabinet, and also incorporates a power switch on the same plate. I know I have seen these on games but I cant recall any specific games that use this setup.

I am finishing up my cocktail vid project and dont want to require the kids to unplug the machine or reach inside the coin door whenever they want to power it on or off.

I did a search on ebay and happ, but because I dont really know what to call it, searching is tough!

Any leads for me? Thanks!

Well, the cheap way is to just run your power cord out to a surge protector/power strip and just have them turn it on and off that way.

Or you could buy something like this and install it somewhere:

You' have to connect a power cord of your own and run it out a hole somewhere.

Most of the Atari upright cabs had a metal plate that the power cord runs through to the power supply, but the switch wasn't part of it....

Power Entry Module is the thing ya want to google. There are a thousand types, but that will get you on the right track. :D

I know you'd prefer something like is pictured below (from a Super GT), but I haven't found a supplier. You might have to ask in the WTB section to see if anyone has one from parting out a shitty cab...

A power entry module is the ticket. Thanks, guys. Being able to remove the power cord is great for moving the games around, too. No cord to trip over, etc.

Now to narrow it down from the 412 billion different types out there. Any chance Home Depot or Lowes has stuff like this? I kinda doubt it. And Radio Shack? HAH! More like Cell Phone Shack around here....

Last time I was at Radio Shack I was looking for a bridge rectifier. The guy at the counter said "I dont know what a bridge rectifier is. I dont even know why I work here".

Usually online places like mouser.com or digikey.com are best places for that kind of stuff.
