"Cabinet Over heat" error (Emergency Call Ambulance)
Hi, I'm looking to purchase a "newer" game called "Emergency Call Ambulance". From the pictures I've been given I can see an error being displayed that says "Cabinet Over Heat". Now my common sense of course knows what this means, but I'm wondering how "bad" this error might be. (ie, faulty temp gauge, serious issue that will stop the game from running, easy to fix?). From what little research I've been able to do it seems to be a Sega Model 3 (Naomi?) board and all the PCBs are installed under the seat... if old internet forum posts can be used as "research", lol... I've read that these run hot anyway... is this true?
I've contacted the seller and they say that it's a "non problem" (hmmmm) and it doesn't effect gameplay.... so they say.
I guess I'm looking for the best case and worst case senarios here as I've never had to deal with that type of message before. I've already searched the E.C.A. manual I found here: http://www.segaarcade.com/archive/emergencycall.aspx ,but it doesn't even list the "over heat" as an error any place I can see.
I guess I see best case as I need to replace a fan.. and worst case the PCB is cooked and I'll need to find a replacement. Thoughts???
Thanks!
