Can't seem to figure out what this was prior to the SF2 conversion. Anyone have a clue?

I've seen the cab before, but not sure anything dedicated ever came in them. That cab style is generically referred to as a Lowboy and is popular in Australia.
If you google "Lowboy arcade cabinet", you'll find a lot of pics of similar cab styles. This one is really similar, but the speaker cutouts go the other way.

That's certainly the closest thing to this beast that I've seen so far. Looks like most of the lowboys have a sloped curve on top and a differently angled marquee. This one is just one straight angle and piece of glass (like the one in your pic).

Edit: I've never played SF so.... Whoops.

Then why don't you stop posting in every thread when you have nothing to add and no knowledge of arcade games? That last point seems to come up on a daily basis but yet you still try to act like you know everything.

Sorry to be rude but somebody has to do it.

REP given.... Seriously!

Also ZERO ownership of real cabs also. MAME builders should stick w/ BYOAC. Nothing wrong w/ MAME but this place is vids centric.
