Cabinet Dimensions or "Will This Fit In My Outback?"

Tomorrow I will be picking up two cabinets, a Space Invaders and a Mortal Kombat. I know that obviously they won't both fit at once but was curious before I rented a truck. Would anyone be able to lead me to some dimensions?

Thanks,
-Tony

You've got a number of cabinet possibilities there.

If they're dedicated, try doing a Google search on their original flyers. Usually these include the dimensions.

I'm willing to bet the Space Invaders will fit, its a little on the small side. I had no problem moving mine in my truck where half the bed was taken up by the toolbox

The MK is another story though

They are both dedicated. The only cabinet I have had in there is a Missile Command but that fit easily with the hatch closed so that is my baseline. The Mortal Kombat is the one I am worried about. Does the control panel come off?

According to my sketchup model, the cabinet will fit, but you will need to keep the hatch up (or tied down, as it will not latch).
Probably would help to remove the panel. Not hard. Take some tools. You WILL have to lay it on it's side though, so be sure to bring a cloth to protect the sideart from scratching along the metal where the seat hinges are.

The mortal kombat is a big arcade, the control panel comes off but it's still about 41 inches deep.

Best advice anyone here can give you is buy a different car. :D

nah. Just add a cheap van to your fleet later. Got to keep the Subaru!.. you will regret it if not.

(Sold my STI to buy a van/enclosed trailer.... miss the Subaru)

forget the van, go for a pickup! Just bring some moving cloths and tarps wherever you go, just in case

I may be wrong, but arent the MK1 cabs the same as the Smash TV cabs with just a different CP? If so, then check out Smash TV dimensions here

for the most part yes your right, i've successfully transported a MK cab in a Murano (thanks Tighe), a Dodge Caravan, and a pickup with a 6ft bed. only with the murano did i have to transport the machine on it's side.
