I realize that this is probably a post more suited for BYOAC but here it is anyway...

After rebuilding and resurrecting a few old games over the past year I realized that I had enough leftover parts to make an entirely new machine, but minus the cabinet. So I figured I'd creat a fun little project with one of my kids and build a miniature game with a 60-in-1.

A few years ago I bought a small 7-inch Panasonic LCD monitor from a fellow KLOV-er that's been kicking around, so I will use this and as such it will definitely need to be a "mini" cabinet. The problem is that I'm having a tough time settling on what design to use and I'm looking for some suggestions and votes on the best bartop/tabletop or just plain "mini" cabinet.

My only criteria are that it emulates or looks a bit like the silhouette of a classic machine, since a lot of those commercial bartop machines out there are mostly disgusting bastardizations of one sort or another and I'd like this to not fall in to that category. The other is that the build take in to consideration that it will have a small 7-inch vertical monitor but will probably have a normal Pac-style joystick, so the design will need to have a scale that somehow reflects this, and also big enough to fit the game PCB and power switcher. Lastly, I already have an OEM Namco bartop Pac Man anniversary machine so no Pac Man styled cabinets. ...that being said, I really dig what Namco did with their bartop Pac cabinet, as it has a definite nod to the classic full sized cabs, which is why I'd kind of like this machine to do the same thing and give a nod to another classic cabinet.

I'm hoping I'll get a few responses and that this will be a fun thing to do, so if you have any cool ideas or suggestions let me see what you've got, and in addition to a heartfelt thanks I'll post pics of the process and the final product. Thanks in advance!
