so i pick up these two cabinets today.. damn they are clean. paid $100 each for them, but they have harnesses, working power supplies, coin doors and one has a monitor that needs recapped.

anyway, the dark blue one has dragon breed artwork, but i also found this wood and two metal brackets screwed to the bottom of the board, there was cardboard on one side and there were pallet straps wrapped around it. it definitely is NOS but what is it? a control panel that is 3/4" thick? but the cabinet has a metal control panel on it already... hmmm

this other cabinet had light blue vinyl on it until i scraped it off.. also the front had textured gray vinyl.. but look at the artwork... what was it? the montior bezel has instructions for a game to push/pull blocks, use turnstiles and avoid robots????

i love these mysteries as i know some of you out there will be able to identify this stuff.

That first cab just might have been a Coors light bowling at one point in time. They had the navy blue paint, red t-molding, and cab setup like that. The trackball was usually placed off-center to the right as well. This would explain the weird joystick placed so far over to the right. Coors light bowling would have had the silver bullet vinyl sideart placed right where that current sideart is.

if that were the case, i'd question the placement of the monitor.. too many smacked hands..

i am really curious as to what the NOS part is that was in that cabinet and the artwork on the other cab. anyone?

Your Dragon Breed cabinet looks like my ESWAT Cyber Police cabinet and it came with the same extra pieces. My game has a sticker on the back that identifies its manufacturer as Grand Products, Inc. of Elk Grove Village, IL. I believe they produced these as generic JAMMA cabinets for conversion kits rather than for a specific game because I have seen one or two others with different conversion kit games.

if that were the case, i'd question the placement of the monitor.. too many smacked hands..

Its funny you mention that because I think those extra parts are for just that, mounting the monitor at a low a "Pac-Man style" angle. I am not 100% sure if that is actually what they are for or how to install them, but I have never been able to come up with a better theory to explain their purpose.
