Last night I picked up a Mr Do. at a local auction. My google-fu is failing me today. What is this cabinet.

Probably some sort of bootleg cabinet. Definitely Taito-like, even with the hinged back door. But the over/under coin door and the stencils throw it off.

I originally thought it was a taito also but searching I couldn't find any pics of one like that. Today when I picked it up I saw the bottom of it and that lead me back here. Looks like these were generic cabinets made by Ken Anderson Associates. There are a couple threads here and different examples of it. A little searching looks like this is the guy behind it.

Here is the pic of the bottom of my cab. So it appears to just be a generic cab but kind of a cool little bit of arcade history I didn't know before. If anyone knows more about it, please share.

I think they're just bootleg cabs with whatever game thrown in them. I picked up 2 of them a few years ago; one had Roc'n Rope and the other had Jump Bug, or maybe Lost Tomb. Either way, they seemed to just be generic style cabs.

Excuse the picture quality, but this is the front and back of the sales flyer for these Ken Anderson cabinets. I don't have a scanner, so I had to take a cell phone pic of the pages.

This ad appears in the September 1983 issue of RePlay Magazine.
