Bye Bye Home Fry

And being fellow steelers fans and having similar political views made it that much better.

What's up with all of you Steeler fans out there near the left coast?? I spend a week or so in Portland each year for business and I swear I meet more Steeler fans there...

Yeah, 7 hours is about right. My parents have a house there so it was a dual purpose trip, even though we just left their house in CA the weekend prior. :)

I've been a steeler fan since I was 6 in '76, and that was down in 49er country! I did make it out to see a Steeler game in the burgh once though - it was the first year that we had Bettis, when they played the Rams and he got to show them what a mistake it was for them to trade him. That was a great game to see in person!

Be sure to let us Portland folk know when you're coming and we can have a meet up at Ground Kontrol or something!

Many from PA have visited the West Coast and realized that PA SUCKS ASS weather-wise...and have, therefore, MOVED!

:D

What an AWESOME game to see! IIRC, Bettis had the longest TD run of his career in that game.

Yep, will do!! :D

Yep, 49 yards. And they won 42-6. :D

Also had the pleasure of going to Woodson's restaurant after and getting an autograph from Bettis and Lester.

Indeed they are mine now. Well, the DK and the ms pac anyway. The Galaga is going to a collector in my area (I think he goes by NeP here). DK's my all time favorite, so I couldn't be more thrilled.

It was great spending the better part of a day with Frizz and his wife, and ArcRevival was there a good part of the time too. Some might say Frizz is a troublemaker :D, but you couldn't meet a nicer guy really. And being fellow steelers fans and having similar political views made it that much better. Heck, I played one game of Star Wars and that was it. The rest of the time (about 6 hours total!) was either loading or talking. It was pretty much the same when I visited last November too. :)

Thanks Frizz!

It was fun. Shan is right. Frizz is a different guy off the forums. Especially how he treats his wife , very nice. Shan has a nice family and 2 of the best behaved kids i have ever seen in a restaurant . They were very patient while we went on and on about arcade games. Good times.

I have to agree... Cole and Audrey are a couple of the best behaved and nicest kids... my wife Lisa adored them both and Lucy, our Basset Hound missed them terribly when they left.

Nice of you guys to say. Yes, they are great kids!

So glad you joined us, Dave. Hope to meet up with you on our next trip out there!
