arcades

Im new to collecting and have already made a huge mistake. I bought a crappy red tent not knowing the value from some shady guy with a warehouse. But as time has gone on I have just used craigslist. A lot of people who post there will be collectors themselves and will know of "secret" places in the area. Ive learned that all the arcade collectors are networked and know each other in the area. So its just a matter of searching craigslist, going to look at machines, talking with the owners and asking them about their connections.

How much did you pay :questionmark:

Buy some broken ones.

If you think you are going to buy a working 25 year old game, and expect it to work another 25 years, your sadly mistaken.

They all break. ALL OF THEM. Its just like owning a classic car-- "old car, new problem"

So go ahead and find the dead ones. You will save alot of money in the long run, gain a TOn fo knowledge along the way, and when the unfortunate time comes when something goes wrong, youll have a much better idea as to how to fix it the 2nd time around.

Welcome to the addiction. Its easy to get into, very hard to get out of. Many have tried, few have succeded :D
