buying arcade buttons?

Probably for those kind buttons, especially since Happ makes them. But you probably don't want those things - those are convex - not proper concave topped arcade buttons. They're not what most games use, and will feel real weird compared to originals.

It's for my nba jam machine that's what the buttons look like on it. But your right they r not flat across the top they are concaved...will any concave button work? The connection part looks Luke the first one.

Check the links I sent you. They are all cheaper.

What RetroHacker is saying is that you probably don't want the convex competition buttons (which is what you linked to-raised in the middle). They were mostly put in later fighting games. NBA Jam came with the standard "classic" buttons (they are concave-lower in the middle then on the edges).

The buttons on NBA Jam are convex?? These are standard arcade game pushbuttons- they're concave:

You can get these at Happ as well (http://www.happcontrols.com/pushbuttons/5891xxl.htm) but as stated above, there are better sources.

Yeah, I'd forgotten about lizardlick. I've ordered from them before. I forgot that they actually sell Happ stuff for less than Happ does...

All arcade buttons are electrically the same, and you can put anything you want in there. I was just saying that most games use concave rather than convex buttons. The convex ones just feel weird.
