Been running around and wanted to share my day...

I sold HOTD and UMK3 today (along with a Soul Edge kit) after doing some yard sale surfing. The buyer spent about an hour here getting a few maintenance tips and then helping me lug those beasts outside onto his trailer.

While this was going on, I got a phone call from the Manager of Cici's in Columbia. He got my number from someone and mentioned he had a carousel that was eating quarters, not giving credits. Told me if I stopped by and looked at it he'd feed me and my family. Far be it for us to turn down a free meal :D, so I told him I'd stop by after making a stop in Jeff City.

That stop in Jeff City was to pick up an Olympic Hockey Pinball with a freebie Shinobi and Misc. boards thrown in. I am also helping him sell some vids (http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=182922) The pinball is pretty much shopped and I couldnt pass it up for the price. We've been wanting an EM and the hockey theme suits me very well.

Stop at Cici's, grab a bite and get handed a coin door with a busted Nintendo style mech. Anyone have one up for grabs? What fascinated me was inside the coin door. The carousel apparently gets its music thru an old car radio cassette deck. Guess Ill see it in action once I get it fixed.

After that, made a quick detour to Wally World on the way home, and get home around 11pm. Theres a message on my phone from the HOTD/UMK3 buyer, claming the HOTD isnt working now. Lovely. Ill be calling him tomorrow in hopes we can get it going.

So thats my Saturday. Looks like I'm in for a busy mothers day too...

It can be tough for sure when you sell a game to someone and then they call saying it's not working. Hopefully it is just something simple from being moved. My NBA Jam machine freaked out on me when I moved it 5 feet in the game room. Luckily it was just a flaky connection that was easily fixed.

It happens all the time. A few feet is all it takes but a four hour bumpy truck ride and it'll fire right up.
