I was looking at a Buster Bros. today, and when it turned on, it turns on only to a white screen. Is this just an adjustment issue? What monitor was usually in these machines, anyway?

Sounds like the brightness is up too high and the board isn't working or connected?

I tried to get to the monitor to maybe turn the brightness down, but after unlocking the back, it appears that someone had screwed the sides closed.

I saw that the board was connected. I don't know, it's very cheap and I'm pretty sure I'm going to get it. I could always get one of those RGB-NTSC converters and throw a TV with S-Video in there if the problem is the screen. I did see that these sometimes have suicide batteries, but I guess I could get another board.

$50 seems like a pretty good deal to me, if you like the game/cabinet. Does the game play blind? The monitor may also be fine and there may be a board/power supply/etc problem.

I actually didn't check that, but the only other problem I could see was a cracked marquee.

It has side art and I like Buster Bros., so if I go get it and there's a problem, I'll post about it on here.
