This always stuck with me as an idea, so for once I decided to take charge and try it out. Every time I had met someone and told them about some of my hobbies they always asked if I could help them with some of their old games, but they always asked for a business card. Of course, I'm not officially running a business so I didn't have any, but I thought something like that really wouldn't matter. You need something to advertise your services and skills regardless if you have an official business or license as long as it was done just as a friendly service or sort of like power selling on Ebay.
So I decided to design something around my hobbies and favorite games. Now I realized that business cards are typically high quality images designed in something like photoshop. I read up it into a little more on VistaPrint, as they offer printing services for cheap, fast, and bulk business cards. Jpeg images are too low resolution, Pixelated images don't scale well, RGB is not the correct color scale to be used for printing (CMYK), and generally its better to design graphics from vectorized shapes. So I decided to spend some time last night designing a card from scratch as it would be crazy to think a business card would come out very clear if I used pictures from the internet and such. Spent about 4 hours constructing everything by hand, I had reference, it's not entirely perfect but I like this design for my first set of cards.
I was pretty satisfied with the results so I decided to go ahead and order about 500 cards, was only $10 and they offered free shipping right now.
Has anyone else tried this or have a business card available to show off =D

This sample is in a JPEG format, so the quality will be lower than the actual PSD format I used for the card.
