Burnt pinball machine repairs

Owner arrived today and was delighted with what we had done! He played several games on it.

He brought the replacement backglass with him and we installed it. The machine is now gone from our shop.

By now it should be in the owner's game room being played.

Here are the final pictures of it. First of the replacement backglass installed.

Second and third are the interior of the main body of the main showing the newly painted transformer laminations. Fourth picture is of bottom panel before cleaning it and shows the rusted transformers.

Not bad for a machine that had been in a fire.

I had fun doing it. Slowly but surely bring the patient back to life.

I used one full bottle of Mean Green spray cleaner for general cleaning of the cabinet and some parts (including the circuit boards). I used a full jug of C-L-R (Calcium, Lime, Rust remover) cleaner to clean up the corroded metal parts. Installed about 50 new #8 by 3/4" long hex washer head sheet metal screws to replace the badly corroded original screws throughout the cabinet.
