Hi I just purchased a Neo Geo dedicated cabinet, said it worked fine, tested it and it was. Brought it home flipped it on and everything was fine. Then I thought I smelt something so I power the machine off unplugged it and opened the inside and it had a hint of a burnt smell, not like smoke and I was gagging, but just a little hint of a burnt smell.

So I decided to keep it off for like a half and hour, no smell anymore, but when I turn it on everything powers up and is running, lights on, but no picture on the monitor. I went through the whole cabinet looking threw the wires and I see no loose wires or burnt wires.

I'm pretty decent with wiring and some arcade problems, but when it comes to monitor I have no idea, plz help, just bought and want to play so bad.

We need to know the model of the monitor. Compare the chassis with the ones on this page.

After you identify the chassis you will need to replace the damaged component. It may be anything from a capacitor to the flyback that gave out. You should look at the chassis for any obviously burned/exploded component.
