Burned in St.louis...or should I say scammed

Well looks I learned the hard-way but, Ian is right it should not be to hard to make the repairs myself, it's just that they made promisses and then failed to deliver and I have never worked on an arcade before. I really want to learn how to repair and restore arcades I just didn't plan on making this my first project. I think I saw that neo-geo on ebay and it even looked better than the one I purchased.

Unfortunately this is how most of us learned. I was ripped off by a con artist on a couple or repairs and that is how I started working on games. I'm not the greatest at it, but I keep trying to learn. Hopefully, you will now know what to look for the next time you go to pick a game up.

Wow...that blows, dude. I've dealt with these guys in the past. I bought my first machine (Guns N Roses pinball) from them. Had some issues with the machine - where the sound wasn't 100% correct when it showed up at my house. They sent me a new set of sound roms, installed 'em, and life was good. They priced it fair (especially for being in such killer condition) , packed it well, and showed up immaculate after shipping.
So I figured when i was looking for my first vid I'd work with them again. Dude offered me a converted Q*bert for $1000. No thanks.

Hey man I work over at Amini's in chesterfield. I might have some Xtra Tmolding laying around if you wanted to redo it. Ill check and see if i got any 8 ways as well.

Rich Dion = Tool bag
Not a real friendly person either.

This is the truest statement on here.

Bill over at Arcade Amusements Plus in Kirkwood is easily the best retailer in town. He does actually have a lot of games in storage (hundreds) that he loves to talk about but all the games that he has in his store are all very nice. Rich will put anything on his floor to try and fill his space. Funny enough he actually has a tech that works in his store full time so there's really no excuse why he would sell pieces way overpriced in not perfect working order. Bill have very reasonable prices for a retailer as well. It's a small store so he doesn't have a lot of inventory but he knows what he's talking about. If buying restored is you're thing then I suggest going to see him.

I actually did speak with Bill at arcades amusement plus, but he did not have a neo-geo..... correction he had one but it was really beat. He said he would sell it for $300 (Good Price) but it was just too beat. He seemed like a good guy just didn't have what I needed.

Should've kept talking to him... he would of gone lower I'd imagine if it really is beat and those were his words or your impression.

It had some slight water damage from the picture he showed me. the top part looked good but the bottom had just little to much ware. He was nice guy and I will definitly look him up when I am ready to buy another cab.
