Hello All,

I am new to the board, and new to arcade game ownership. I just picked up a Burgertime cocktail from a neighbor. He said it used to work, but he had to move it and after that he said it no longer worked. I have a buddy who used this board to help him with his Ms. Pac Man.

So here is the deal, the monitor doesn't work. I can hear it power on, but nothing shows up on the screen. I can see the tube has a slight glow, which is a good sign. I have looked around for loose wire and found a ground strap that broke (which goes to the coin door), and another random green wire with yellow stripe that looks to be a ground. Also someone changed the power cord at one time and used butt connectors and on of the wires worked its way loose. I square all these issues away and no go. The fan(s) are running, and so are the lights for the joystick.

Any ideas? I am a bit fearful of pulling the boards because i really don't know much about electronics. I did pull the connectors for one of the board and looked at the brass connections, but they looked fine. I tried toggling the test switches, and nothing happened.

Any help would be appreciated, or if anyone is local and willing to help, I would deeply appreciate it.

Local to where?

LMAO
Maybe he meant "loco" heh

Hey welcome to the forums! Take a minute and add your location to your user profile. Then Dokert will stop harrasing you ;)
Dokert you damn trouble maker !

If you can hear the game playing and the tube has neck glow your monitor is most likely in HV shutdown. It'll "probably have a G07 in it" and Dokert is pretty handy with those.

Sorry, I swore I had put my location in last night. I am located in Fallston, MD 21047. I saw a few threads about people going to the Timonium Arcade Auction, I was there with CapnCrunch.

Does the game play? Can you hit the coin switches, and hear the game starting? If not, you may have power supply/ board problem.

I don't have any sound, not even if I load credits. I am also not getting any lights on the coin door.

I am having a arcade party this Saturday, why don't bring it to the party.
We can look at for you.

I was talking to CapnCrunch and he said he might want to take a trip out and meet you guys, I would like to tag along.

I checked all the fuses that I could see and they all look fine. As for the power supply, I will check the voltage, but like I said, the green wire running into the power supply was disconnected when I first got it, I reattached this wire, but there was no change. Could this have done some damage when it was not attached? I did start the machine with this wire was unattached.

Bt ct

That is cool. I have not seen the CT version in a long time. I would reseat all the connectors including the ribbon cables on the board and power supply for a chance something came loose in the move. Good luck and welcome to the forums.
